Francisco de Borja Pérez-Peñas Díaz-Mauriño, simply Borja (born 1 April 1982 in Madrid), is a Spanish footballer who plays for AD Alcorcón as a striker.
After a brief passage at Real Madrid's youth system, Borja made his senior debuts with neighbours CD Leganés, scoring five times in 37 outings, in an eventual 2004 relegation from the second division.
He then moved to Real Valladolid, but could only appear for its reserves, being loaned to Alicante CF in his second year, after which he was released,[1] joining the same club permanently (still in the third level) and helping it promote in his third year.
In the 2009 summer, following Alicante's relegation, Borja stayed in level three, joining AD Alcorcón.[2] On 27 October 2009, he scored twice against Real Madrid in the domestic cup, for a final 4–0 home routing, taking his tally against this club to six (had netted already four times in different cup seasons); Alcorcón won 4–1 on aggregate.[3]
